Krystal Queen-Sullivan, People Operations Manager

Krystal Queen-Sullivan (she/her) is the People Operations Manager at Canopy, bringing over 10 years of experience in human resources, people strategy, and organizational development. With a career rooted in supporting inclusive and values-driven workplaces, Krystal has led initiatives across recruitment, talent development, DEIA, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

Originally living like a military family and raised across several states, Krystal has called Minnesota home for the past two decades. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, and a Certificate in Crucial Conversations with other HR and non – HR certifications. Her approach to People Operations is deeply influenced by her lived experience as a multiracial woman, a single mother, and a systems navigator—fueling her passion for creating equitable and empowering employee experiences.

Krystal’s professional focus is on building high-performing, mission-aligned teams by designing inclusive people systems and fostering cultures of transparency, empathy, and accountability. Her leadership philosophy is centered on trust, strategy, and sustainability, helping organizations thrive through thoughtful change and continuous learning.

Outside of work, Krystal enjoys going on walks in nature, reading, and exploring community-based initiatives that uplift underrepresented families. She is the proud mother of 10 children. Her life is a testament to the power of resilience, purpose, and human connection.
