Meet the Team

Nancy (Avila) Rocha, MSW, LICSW

Nancy (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a masters degree from St. Catherine University/University of St. Thomas. She believes that people are the experts of their own life and her role is to walk alongside them. Individuals have an innate ability to heal and possess the skills needed to support them throughout their lives, so together Nancy works with her clients to add more tools to their toolbox while maximizing on their strengths. She uses a strengths-based and person-centered approach, while drawing from various disciplines centered around her client’s needs. Nancy frequently uses modalities rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Exposure Therapy, and Internal Family Systems among others.

Nancy loves spending time outdoors by the river and at night under the stars. She is a Mexican dancer with Kalpulli Huitzillin and has been learning more about her Mesoamerican lineage for the past seven years and continues to deepen her interest and practice on Curanderismo.
