Meet the Team

Pakou Yang-Her, MS, LAMFT

Pakou Yang-Her (she/her) is a Hmong American therapist with a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. She has a background working in the domestic violence field and understands the importance of safety and security when healing from trauma and stress to deepening one’s sense of self. Pakou believes there is more than one way to address challenges because she acknowledges her client’s own wisdom and ideas for growth, affirming that each individual deserves to live a life that is wholesome –both for oneself and for one’s relationships. Pakou would love to help clients through their journey, human to human.

Pakou enjoys trying new DIY projects such as watercoloring, hand-stitching, and sewing. She also enjoys hiking and spending time with family, friends, and her dog Nebula – all of which she believes are excellent forms of self-care.

Pakou’s certifications and trainings: Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), Prepare and Enrich Facilitator, Brainspotting Level 1, Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator, and completion of the Externship in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
