Fatima Jalloh, Talent Acquisition Specialist

Fatima Jalloh (she/her) is the Talent Acquisition Specialist for Canopy MHC and Canopy Roots. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Studies with Minors in Marketing and HR. Prior to coming to Canopy, she she worked as a Talent Partner for the Office of Information Technology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Fatima is first-generation American, but her roots go back to Sierra Leone. Despite being born and raised in Minnesota, she identifies as a Sierra Leonean first. She loves to learn and has a passion for getting to know people and making sure they feel they can be heard – especially when it can seem like the world may not want them to. Her passion stems from working in group homes for over 6 years. She believes that change starts with intentionality, compassion, and understanding one person at a time.

In her free time, Fatima enjoys trying new foods, taking silks and aerial classes, and doing pilates. She enjoys African American history and has visited African American museums across the country. She loves listening to podcasts and is working on creating a podcast of her own that speaks to her faith and journey as a first-generation American.
