Meet the Team

Sarita Kundrod, MSW, LGSW, MPH

Sarita (she/her) is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW). She received a dual master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and Public Health (maternal/child health) from the University of Minnesota. She believes that a strong and caring therapeutic relationship is critical to healing and growth, particularly within BIPOC communities. Sarita is passionate about trauma responsive mental health care and believes in the power of a person-centered, relational, and strengths-based approach to provide space for clients to thrive.

She knows that it takes deep bravery and vulnerability to begin therapy, and will work hard to earn your trust. She provides a space that is grounded in transparency, humor, and care. Sarita meets clients where they are, believes clients are the experts of their own lives, and emphasizes partnership for growth and change. Sarita feels honored to be included in the journey of another's life and enjoys celebrating the complex beauty of each individual’s cultural, spiritual, sexual, gender, and racial identities. She believes that it is through building upon the strengths of each individual within the therapeutic relationship that ultimate health & wellbeing occurs.

Sarita is a transplant to the Midwest and has enjoyed living in Minnesota for the past six years. She grew up in Philadelphia and is an avid runner and reader. Sarita loves to travel, especially to visit her family in India. She is deeply committed to activism, community, and creating a more inclusive, just, and equitable world. In her spare time, she loves to explore the many state parks of Minnesota with her partner, spend time with friends, implement the life hack of the week to keep track of her keys, and snuggle with her very naughty puppy, Oso.
