Vanessa Bartlett, MSW Practicum Student

Vanessa (she/her) is a current Master of Social Work student at Augsburg University.

Her approach to therapy is rooted in cultural competence while using a strengths-based perspective to encourage clients to live their most fulfilling lives while acknowledging the complex sociocultural contexts that affect their day to day lives and experiences.

She believes that warmth, understanding, and awareness of intricate societal and familial systems are an integral part of building a therapeutic relationship.

Vanessa aims to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and brave enough to express themselves fully while developing new skills.

She enjoys going on adventures with her three year old son, lifting weights, and spending a lot of time with her close-knit family.
